Last week was really hard for my family. Our Aunt Ardie passed away. She had had a very long life of 95 years and her last few weeks had not been easy for her. I had not known her the way my Mother and her cousins did. So at the funeral I learned a bout a whole new Ardie. Even MaLinda would say how she loved going to Aunt Ardie's house and all the fun they had there. When I went to her house it wasn't always so fun. It seamed that I was always in trouble. I couldn't do anything right at her house. There were somethings that I did love about going to her house was the laundry shoot. that was fun sliding down. I do remember yogurt. I don't know why but I remember her giving me lime yogurt. I also remember her tv trays. The black ones with the pink roses, her setting them up in her kitchen so I could color on.
I am really happy that she has moved on to the after world. Where she can be with her husband who passed away about 60 years ago. They are together catching up and taking long walks (or running like my dad thinks because she hasn't been able to ambulate very well for many years) I hope she is happy. She will be missed.
