We did all the usual FUN things. The kids slept out side. It was Doug who was nominated to spend the night out with them. For a while we didn't think that they would be able to sleep out. The weather has been kind of cold and rainy. Alyssa was very up set. She was the one that really wanted to sleep out. So the put the air mattresses under the patio. MaLinda swept away all the spiders and bugs. (She was so brave). JJ said he didn't sleep much. I don't know if he was too nerves or too excited. Becca wanted to sleep out for all about 2 seconds than she was back in side to sleep with her Mom. The second night The day had been really warm all day. (No rain) So the kids put their sleeping bags out under the trees. Well when we woke up they were back on the patio. I guess it started to rain so they all got up and moved. They said it was pretty hard to wake JJ up. Doug started to move his mattresses with him on it then he woke up. (not enough sleep the night before)

Saturday we all got up early. We wanted to get to the breakfast before the line was really long. As I was getting out JJ's 4th T-Shirt I noticed it said "Beer delivery man" on the cool truck. I was embarrassed. We bought it because it was such a cool truck. But we laughed about it. By the time we all got ready it was 8:30. That is what happens when you have more women then men in the house. Mt pleasant breakfast was really good, As always. We walked around the park to check out all the mountain man stuff. It was almost exactly the same as last year but was still fun. We ran into George and Myrna there. After we rushed home to get all our chairs get some drinks and we were off to the parade.

You really know your kid is growing up when they are not bouncing off the walls with excitement to be at the parade. Even a parade with Candy. It was really sad to just watch JJ and Andy sit there. Of course they were up to get the candy but they didn't wave to anyone, or get over excited. the most I saw was the two of them fighting over an otter pop. Well, I guess they have to grow up sometime.
MaLinda and I went in together to get some fireworks. We set them off on Friday night. JJ was so disappointed. that it didn't last for 3 hours, like last 4th when Rodger bought the fireworks. the whole time JJ kept hoping Rodger was still down so he would show up with that really big one from sams club that cost over $200.00. I was happy we didn't have that one.
The Stevensons went home on the 4th after the city firework show. I was sad to see them go. But Doug had meetings and their church starts at 9am. Andy had a migraine after all the fun and sugar. So He spent the night with us and we brought him home Sunday morning. When we were packing up on Sunday morning we saw a deer (a buck) laying down just out side the dinning room window. He stayed there a while until Juan went out to take pictures than he got up to go. I guess there was another one because Looking at the pictures there is a doe too.
Well, the whole week end was really fun. I am thankful for mom and dad and their love to let us go down to their home. We missed them a lot. It just wasn't the same with out them. I think Grandma Veona really missed them too. I think she got board. with us kids.
